There must be some kinda way outta here...

That’s all I have to say about the Battlestar season ender last night. It was one of those episodes that completely reminds you why you should watch this series. Not only that, this episode had arguable some of the best writing/acting of the show thus far. Beyond that I can't say anything, hell the title of this post is in some way a big spoiler.

Military Rules

Something funny I found that is very true.

US Marine Corps Rules:
  • Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one.
  • Decide to be aggressive enough, quickly enough.
  • Have a plan.
  • Have a back-up plan.
  • Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
  • Do not attend a gunfight with a handgun whose caliber does not start with a 4."
  • Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap.
  • Move away from your attacker. Distance is your friend. (Lateral & diagonal preferred.)
  • Use cover or concealment as much as possible.
  • Flank your adversary when possible. Protect yours.
  • Always cheat; always win. The only unfair fight is the one you lose.
  • In ten years nobody will remember the details of caliber, stance, or tactics. They will only remember who lived.
  • If you are not shooting, you should be communicating your intention to shoot.
  • Remember, when all else fails, an entrenching tools primary purpose is NOT for digging holes but cleaving skulls.

Navy SEALS Rules:
  • Look very cool in sunglasses.
  • Kill every living thing within view.
  • Adjust speedo.
  • Check hair in mirror.

US Army Rangers Rules:
  • Walk in 50 miles wearing 75 pound rucksack while starving.
  • Locate individuals requiring killing.
  • Request permission via radio from "Higher" to perform killing.
  • Curse bitterly when mission is aborted.
  • Walk out 50 miles wearing a 75 pound rucksack while starving.

US Army Rules:

  • Select a new beret to wear.
  • Sew patches on right shoulder.
  • Come up with a new patch to cover that section of blouse that still shows what color it was.
  • Create another new badge for something like "mouse-pad" expert to go with all the rest of the "expert" badges.
  • Change the color of beret you decide to wear.

US Air Force Rules:

  • Have a cocktail.
  • Adjust temperature on air-conditioner.
  • See what's on HBO.
  • Ask "what is a gunfight?"
  • Request more funding from Congress with a "killer" PowerPoint presentation.
  • Wine & dine 'key' Congressmen, invite DOD & defense industry executives.
  • Receive funding, set up new command and assemble assets.
  • Declare the assets "strategic" and never deploy them operationally.
  • Hurry to make 1345 tee-time.

US Navy Rules:

  • Go to Sea.
  • Drink Coffee.
  • Watch porn.
  • Deploy the Marines.

I hate math

So ya I got a test back today in my ENGR 280 course and I completely managed to bomb it. Granted the class average was about 60, I managed to pull off a astounding 41. Granted I’m planning on seeing the Prof. next time he has hours to discuses a few things on the test I that I feel a little annoyed at being marked down for, I still don't see how I could have gotten that bad of a grade.

I simply don't know any more. I do the homework, I get the answers that are in the book, yet it seems like I still can't get good grades in math. It seems like no matter what I do I can't seem to get this stuff sometimes, even though I know I should be able to, that this stuff should simply just click no problem. What makes it worse is that all through high school I did pretty well in math, despite the fact that I had some horrendous teachers. But know it seems like I can do nothing but fail. It also doesn’t help that I have to get my GPA up to keep my insurance low, let alone have nay hope of getting into grad school. You know it just seems like everything was so much simpler in high school, all you had to worry about was getting the home work done and done right. Now, things just aren’t simple any more.

Becuase the pic was cool..

I figured why not post this since the results are pretty acurate and the image is really well done.

Which fantasy class are you?

Greatknight-You are usually stern, but friendly. Honor and Courage are important to you, but sometimes you can get a little homesick. You are just kind of a well-rounded person. In battle, you are in the thick of the action, usuing your heavy weaponry to smash through the enemy. Your favorite weapon is the broadsword.
